ViewSonic Ships Two New Sub-$1,200 HD Projectors

ViewSonic is shipping a pair of FullHD 1080p projectors in its LightStream line.

The new LightStream 7 models, the PJD7830HDL with white chassis and PJD7835HD with black chassis, are engineered with enhanced technologies for color accuracy and enriched sound.

The PJD7830HDL projector boasts 3,200 lumens of brightness and the PJD7835HD 3,500 lumens. Both are feature the company’s SuperColor technology with a newly designed color wheel.

Developed with the company’s proprietary SonicExpert enhanced sound technology, an integrated speaker delivers immersive audio quality for greater frequency range and minimized distortion, ViewSonic said.

The 1080p projectors also have PortAll, an integrated compartment supporting an MHL/HDMI port that allows users to wirelessly stream multimedia content via an optional wireless HDMI dongle.

Advanced setup selections include vertical/horizontal keystone, corner adjustment, and 1.36 optical zoom. They integrate a cable-management system.

Designed with two HDMI ports, the projectors can display 3D images directly from 3D Blu-ray players. Other inputs include RGB, composite video, MiniUSB, USB and audio in/out

The LightStream FullHD 1080p PJD7830HDL projector has a $1,099 suggested retail, and the PJD7835HD is now available for $1,199.
