SANTA FE SPRINGS, CALIF. – Swann Security unveiled it latest DIY video surveillance security system.
The Swann Wi-Fi Security Kit Micro Monitoring System features two 720p high-definition day/night cameras and smartphone connectivity. The kit includes five wireless window and door sensors and five wired sensors for protecting windows and doors in close proximity. Additionally, it has two PIR movement sensors and three key fob remote controls that communicate wirelessly with the anti-intrusion indoor siren.
The system runs on Wi-Fi and allows users to add two aditional cameras, allowing for “set and forget” recording continuously from from channels for 24 days+ on to a pre-installed 500GB extrenal hard drive. Motion detection mode extends the recorded time further.
Swann said the two wireless cameras eliminate blurry night images and muted audio. Users can see in the dark up to 50 feet with built-in IR cut filters to provide enhanced night vision. Built-in microphones capture audio.
Users can view live or recorded video on any smartphone or tablet using the free SwannView Link app. The app features activity triggered push notifications. The Swann Wi-Fi Security Kit is available now for $499 at Fry’s.
