Samsung Printers Join Amazon Dash Cache

Select Wi-Fi printers from Samsung are the latest devices to join Amazon’s Dash automatic replenishment system.

By signing up for the program through Samsung’s mobile print app or desktop printer manager, users can now receive toner refills automatically from Amazon when the printers sense that levels are low.

Dash-compliant printers include Samsung’s SL-C430W, SL-C480FW, SL-M2835DW and SL-M2885FW models.

“Through our collaboration with Amazon and integration of Amazon Dash Replenishment, we can ensure that our valued customers never experience lost time or productivity due to an empty toner cartridge,” said Andrew Sivori, Samsung’s CE-IT product marketing VP.

Added Amazon Devices director Daniel Rausch, “Amazon Dash Replenishment prevents the ‘oh-no’ moments of running out.”

Samsung follows Brother printers, which last month became the first Dash-enabled devices to go live. Other early additions include a Smart Dispense washer from GE and a smart blood glucose monitor from Gmate.

The e-tailer’s Dash Replenishment Service (DRS) can be integrated into smart devices via Amazon code and APIs. Dozens of other products are on deck for the program, including smart locks by August and laundry pairs and a forthcoming smart dishwasher from Whirlpool.
