Tempe, Ariz. — Car audio supplier Rockford Fosgate has been named official motorcycle-audio sponsor of the 74th annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, which has become one of the largest motorcycle rallies in the world.
More than 500,000 motorcycle enthusiasts participated in the 2013 event in Sturgis, S.D., event sponsors said. This year’s event is scheduled for Aug. 4-10. Rockford was also named sponsor of the event’s 12th Annual Mayor’s Ride.
In a booth in downtown Sturgis, Rockford Fosgate will demonstrate its line of motorcycle-audio gear in a booth in downtown Sturgis. The products include amplifiers that fit inside fairings and are powerful enough to overcome road, wind and exhaust noise, the company said. The lineup also includes weather-resistant speakers, subwoofers that fit in rear bags, and “headless” source units operated from compact remote controls.
