Denver – Ricoh Imaging Americas launched Wednesday the Ricoh WG-30W ruggedized outdoor lifestyle camera offering built-in Wi-Fi, FullHD capture and 16-megapixel resolution.
The Ricoh WG-30W, which will ship to dealers in December at a $299.95 suggested retail, features built-in advanced smartphone connectivity to enable easily sharing images with other devices and over the Internet.
Like other cameras in the WG series, the WG-30W features durable waterproof (to 40 feet), shock-proof (five foot drop), crush-proof (to 220 pounds), freeze-proof and dust-proof construction for active lifestyle shooting.
Features include: a 16-megapixel back illuminated CMOS sensor, low-noise, low-light optimization and a 5x zoom lens.
This new lightweight model also includes the WG original Digital Microscope mode allowing the capture of close-ups in fine detail, while six macro lights positioned around the lens keep the subject fully illuminated.
Video is captured in Full HD resolution at up to 30 fps, and an enhanced underwater mode optimizes imagery for common submarine lighting and tonality conditions.
The WG-30W ships in a choice of carbon grey or flame orange body colors and is supported with 10 optional accessories, including a handle bar mount, a helmet mount, and a magnet mount.
