Xthings has announced the latest offering its security camera brand, Ulticam. The Ulticam Dot is a portable, wireless, weather-resistant security camera that is designed to be used at home as well as on the go. The new camera is battery-powered with four replaceable AA batteries, and operates on a subscription-free model. Setup options include a magnetic base, peel-and-stick-adhesive, or screw mounting.
The Ulticam Dot features 2K Quad HD video, night vision, and an ultra-wide field of view. With built-in Wi-Fi, the camera connects directly to your home network—no hubs required—offering real-time alerts, two-way audio, and automatic dual-layer recording via the U home app. Included with the Ulticam Dot is seven days of free rolling cloud storage and 8GB of built-in storage, alongside subscription-free person and motion detection powered by edge AI. Users can customize four detection zones to minimize false alerts, while an alarm siren adds an extra layer of protection.
“Consumers are tired of being locked into costly monthly subscriptions, which is why Ulticam offers free cloud storage and advanced AI features without requiring any fees,” said Matthew Brown, Ulticam’s Head of Marketing. “Ulticam is setting a new standard for value and performance in the home security market, and we’re putting consumers first.”
Compatible with Amazon Alexa, the Ulticam Dot is now available for $69 at Ulticam.com.
