Nortek Security & Control expanded its selection of GoControl-brand wireless home-automation products from a handful to almost 20 models, which will be displayed at the CEDIA Expo.
The line of wireless Z-Wave home-automation products is targeted to security dealers, systems integrators, A/V specialists, and large retailers. The products do not require professional installation or managed services but will be available to installers for integration with professionally monitored home-security systems sold to security dealers under Nortek Security’s 2GIG brand.
GoControl’s Z-Wave products also integrate with other professionally installed and DIY smart-home hubs, including hubs from SmartThings, Lowes Iris, Honeywell, Clare Controls, GE, and Nexia Home Intelligence.
Nortek Security and Control, a subsidiary of Nortek, also offers the Linear brand of security, access control, video surveillance, and intercom products.
With the GoControl expansion, Nortek is creating “a full smart home portfolio of wireless home control products” that “work with many of the most popular professionally installed control platforms, security systems and DIY control hubs in the market,” a spokesperson said.
Installers and retailers can get the GoControl portfolio through such distributors as Tri-ed, ADI and Wave Electronics, among others. The products are also sold to such large retailers as Amazon, Home Depot and Lowes.
