NBA’s Stephen Curry Named JBL Brand Ambassador

Stamford, Conn. –Two-time NBA All-Star Stephen Curry has become JBL’s second brand ambassador from the NBA in as many weeks.

He joins two-time NBA All-Star Damian Lillard, who was named JBL’s first brand ambassador from the NBA.

Curry entered a multi-year partnership to collaborate with JBL in marketing and advertising efforts to develop integrated content and programs for social media and television.

The brand-ambassador announcements follow last September’s announcement of Harman’s multiyear marketing and licensing agreement with the NBA to become the official headphone, speaker and audio partner of the NBA, Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), NBA Development League (NBA D-League), and USA Basketball. JBL, Infinity and Harman Kardon are among Harman’s consumer brands.

Curry entered the league six years ago as the seventh overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft and became a premier point guard. He recently broke his own record for most three-point field goals in a season. He also won the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest during the NBA All-Star 2015.

Harman’s ambassadors include Grammy-winning rock bands Maroon 5 and Linkin Park; musician, producer, and artist Quincy Jones; Indian composer, record producer, musician, and singer AR Rahman; and piano star Lang Lang.

Harman’s other brand ambassador from the sports world is Mariano Rivera.
