Klipsch, Compaq To Join Forces

High-end home loudspeaker manufacturer Klipsch last week entered the multimedia speaker market through a deal with Compaq that has the company’s speakers being offered through Compaq’s online store and in-store configure-to-order kiosks.

The five-piece ProMedia v.2400 is a Lucasfilm THX-certified speaker system delivering 400 watts of power through two pairs of matched satellites and a subwoofer. The speakers will carry a suggested retail price of $249.

Consumers can purchase the speaker system either at the Compaq or Klipsch web stores or choose the v.2400 as an option when putting together a home PC through one of Compaq’s in-store kiosks.
