LAS VEGAS – AmTran introduced at International CES new 40- and 43-inch FullHD LED LCD TV models in its Emerald series, joining the company’s recently announced 4K UHD TV sets.
New JVC Emerald Series FullHD models include the 43-inch EM43RF5, which carries a $499 suggested retail, and features a slim-bezel design, Roku Streaming Stick and XinemaSound audio system.
The 40-inch EM40NF5, which will carry a $379 suggested retail, incorporates the company’s CrystalColor picture-quality-enhancement circuitry.
Both models include direct LED backlighting.
“From metropolitan apartments to spare bedrooms in suburban homes, consumers want to bring HDTV into spaces other than traditional living rooms,” said Drew Pragliola, AmTran sales and marketing senior VP. “The EM43RF5 and EM40NF5 together represent an engineering triumph, ideally balancing this desire with functionality and an immersive HDTV experience.”
Both sets also include Mobile High-definition Link (MHL) functionality that supports easy display and control of content from attached handheld devices, including sharing Internet content from the handheld device to the big screen.
The EM43RF5 adds a free Roku Streaming Stick with more than 2,000 channels of over-the-top (OTT) content options.
JVC also showed its newly launched 85-inch DM85UXR Diamond-series Ultra HD TV ($7,999), which is shipping now.
The set includes JVC’s new UHD up-scaling technology; CrystalMotion Pro technology with 240 frames per second; CrystalColor XD; and 50 million: 1 dynamic contrast ratio.
