Action cam vendor Drift Innovation has introduced a wearable HD camera that weighs 1 ounce.
The Compass Camera is slightly bigger than an Apple Watch screen, the company said, and records 1080p HD video, 8-megapixel still photos and time-lapse image sequences. It connects to any Wi-Fi network and includes an embedded sensor for touch tap recording, a 32GB MicroSD slot, 10GB of free Cloud storage and the ability to livestream using the free Drift Life app.
The Drift Life app is available on iOS and Android devices and enables shot set-up, remote control recording, live streaming of events, playback, Cloud storage and sharing to social network directly from mobile devices.
The Compass Camera’s battery life allows user to shoot continuously up to two hours of 1080p video, and record time-lapse video up to 50 days on a single charge.
It retails for $129. The camera, as well as accessories that include magnetic clips and a tripod adapter, are available at DriftInnovation.com.
