Taipei, Taiwan — Multimedia software developer CyberLink said Wednesday it has partnered with John Schneider Studios to promote and support independent filmmakers with its editing software tools.
As part of the deal, CyberLink said it has donated a complete editing workstation, equipped with the company’s high-end Director Suite, including PowerDirector video-editing software, ColorDirector color-grading module, AudioDirector sound-enhancement module and PhotoDirector photography software.
Schneider is a popular actor and director who is best known as a star of the 1980s “Dukes of Hazzard” TV series. He recently established his namesake movie studios in Louisiana dedicated to independent filmmakers, who often have to work with limited budgets.
CyberLink, whose software tools stress value and performance quality, said its contribution to the studio “is the first step in what is expected to be a long-term partnership.”
