AudioControl stepped into the caramplifier arena with the high-current, 1-ohm-stable Epicenter 1200, which incorporates the company’s Epicenter bass-restoration processing to restore lost bass frequencies and add richness to music playback. Epicenter looks for the harmonics of low-bass frequencies, then restores the fundamental bass frequencies lost because of digital compression or poor recording methods.
Other features include patent-pending level-matching circuit, 24dB/octave Linkwitz-Riley selectable crossover, GTO signal sensing for OEM Integration, subsonic filter, line-Level RCA and speakerlevel inputs, and remote dash control of Epicenter processing.
The Epicenter 1200 is rated at 1200 watts @ 1 ohm, 750 watts @ 2 ohms, and 400 watts @ 4 ohms.
