GREENVILLE, MICH. – Premium cooking and undercounter refrigeration resource Aga Marvel has beefed up its distribution network as it begins shipping the largest line introduction in its 120-year history.
To cover the South, the vendor appointed Viking Distributing East as the primary distributor of its Aga, Marvel and Heartland lines in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and Florida.
Viking Distributing East was formed earlier this year by Viking Range following its acquisition of Hadco, a major independent majap distributor.
For its Midwest coverage Aga Marvel picked Potter Distributing, which will carry the company’s brands in Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and the Dakotas.
Unchanged is Aga Marvel’s relationship with Eastern Marketing, which will continue to distribute the lines throughout New England, the Mid-Atlantic and the Carolinas.
The distributors will be carrying an expansive new assortment that was enhanced to exceed the Department of Energy’s tough new efficiency standards, which went into effect Sept. 15. To that end, the lines are up to 40 percent more efficient than the prior collections, said North American operations brand manager Leah Clark, and will provide the most even temperature stability on the market thanks to “dynamic cooling technology, which allows rapid cool-down, real-time temperature accuracy and pinpoint control.”
“We triumphed over the energy challenge and listened to the voice of the consumer to refine the design on all fronts with a fully integrated seamless fit, greater storage configurations, quieter operation and smarter temperature controls,” Clark said.
New product additions include a 24-inch high-efficiency gallery wine cellar with rollerglide display racks under the Marvel brand.
Sales and marketing VP Art Bochert said the new lines “are being met with enthusiasm” in previews before trade partners. “This is a proud moment for our company, one of which we’ve invested significant capital and brainpower to ultimately deliver the best the industry has to offer,” he said.
