Creative Technology has introduced the Creative XF1, a 72W RMS desktop speaker designed for music, movies, gaming and other audio applications. Japan is the first market in the company’s global rollout.
The bi-amplified, two-way speaker features dual Hi-Res Audio certification, DSP processing and dedicated amplification for each driver. Creative says the system has a frequency response of 55Hz to 40kHz.
The XF1 uses FEA-optimized 3-inch woofers and is designed to maintain balanced output at different volume levels. Each speaker includes a detachable cork stand that angles the speaker toward the listener. The system is available in black or white.
For connectivity, the XF1 supports Hi-Res Audio playback at up to 40kHz through USB audio and analog line-in, as well as Hi-Res Audio Wireless using LDAC and Bluetooth 6.0. The USB-C connection supports up to 24-bit/96kHz playback from compatible devices. A 3.5mm line input is also included.
The speaker has a dedicated subwoofer output with automatic mode switching, allowing users to add a subwoofer and expand the system from a 2.0 to a 2.1 configuration.
Creative’s Nexus app provides more than 120 EQ presets covering more than 20 music genres and nearly 100 games. The app also includes a 10-band parametric EQ and preset management for users who want to customize the speaker’s sound.

The Creative XF1 is priced at $179.99 and is available through Creative’s website, with retail availability varying by market.
