Narwal, the company behind the innovative Freo and Flow robot vacuums, is entering the stick-vac space with its new S30 Series – and it isn’t easing in quietly. The S30 and S30 Pro aren’t just vacuums with a mop added on; they’re full wet dry cleaning systems. They vacuum, scrub, suck up dirty water, sanitize, and dispense fresh water as they go, all in a sleek upright design built mainly for hard floors. In short, the S30 series feels less like a traditional stick vacuum and more like Narwal trying to redefine what an all-in-one cleaner can be.
Design & Features
Narwal clearly prioritized maneuverability in the S30 series. Both the S30 and S30 Pro feature a 180° lie-flat design, power-boosted wheels, and a 63° turning angle, which means the vacuum can glide under low furniture and pivot around chair legs or tight corners with surprisingly little effort.
One of the first things you’ll notice on the S30 Pro is the small LED display on its handle, and it’s not just decorative. The screen provides a clear readout of the currently active mode, the battery level, and status icons for self-cleaning, low battery, or errors. Users can switch between modes by pressing the “Mode” button on the handle, and pressing any button wakes it again when the screen goes dark.
The stylish upright unit itself is relatively light, weighing about 9.6 lbs for the Pro and 9.17 lbs for the standard S30, making it easy to lift and carry between rooms. Both models boast 20,000 Pa suction power, quieter operation at 45dB(A), and long battery life, ranging from an average of 55 minutes for the S30 and 60 minutes for the Pro.
Edge cleaning is another design strength. Narwal’s Triple-Edge Precision system allows the roller to reach tight corners and baseboards on three sides, not just in front, so you don’t get that annoying patch of dust that vacuums tend to leave along walls. That, combined with the flexible body, makes the S30 models feel more capable of getting where messes usually hide.
The clean water tank holds 790 ML and automatically dispenses detergent as it continuously rinses the mop with fresh water. Dry and wet debris go into separate compartments, and waste separation bags can be tossed without ever touching waste. The Pro has a built-in blade in its base to chop through hair tangles–no more using scissors or manually picking gunk out of the roller.
Narwal’s thoughtfully engineered self-maintenance base station washes the mop rollers with very hot water (the Pro tops out at 194°F) and detergent and uses dual-direction spinning to clean every bristle. Then it “irons” the mop at high heat, restoring roller fluffiness while keeping things hygienic. This is great news for anyone with pets and youngsters who play on the floor.
The S30 Pro offers five main modes that reflect a thoughtful approach to varied messes and surfaces:
- AI Smart Mode, the vacuum-mop dynamically adjusts its suction, water flow, and roller speed based on how dirty the floor is.
- Max Enhancement is activated by holding down a trigger button, which feels very deliberate and gives you real power when handling stubborn or sticky messes.
- Quiet Mode uses less suction, lower water, and gentler cleaning, which is perfect for touch-ups or when you don’t want to disturb anyone.
- The special Wood Floor Mode uses less water to protect sealed hardwood and prevent swelling.
- Suction Mode is perfect for dry debris or liquid spill cleanup.
Our Testing Experience

Before its official 2025 release, TWICE saw the Narwal S30 and S30 Pro in action at a special Hollywood event earlier this year. We were immediately impressed by the versatility and power the S30 exhibited as it quickly cleaned up dirt, hair, pudding and sauces with ease. Later, we tested the S30 Pro for ourselves at home, putting the unit through its paces to see whether the wet dry AI vacuum would deliver on its claims and whether it is worth the price point. Spoiler? It is worth every penny and more.
Assembly is straightforward, and even the net filter installed quickly without fuss. Our tests included wet messes – spaghetti sauce, wet pet foods, and oatmeal. We also let some of those substances dry out to test out the AI recognition features. Dry testing materials included cereal (whole and crushed), dried pet food, cat hair and flour. The S30 Pro cleaned the wet messes easily in a few passes, disinfecting as it cleaned. The cleaned areas dried more quickly than with traditional mopping or Swiffer-style mops, and no streaks remained.

The S30 handled dry testing materials with similar ease, and we were pleasantly surprised to see the AI adjust the power with heavier soiled areas on its own. Operating this vacuum one-handed wasn’t hard at all, and it propelled itself with just enough power without jerking out of our grip. The joint on the vacuum head turns smoothly, making it easier to get under chairs and under ledges than with a traditional mop, and we like that we were able to reach crumbs in normally hard-to-reach areas of our kitchen without much effort.
The dried-out sauces and oatmeal also cleaned up well, even if it took a bit longer to get up, as expected. It was nice not to have to bend over and scrape crusty residue with a knife or fingernail as the Narwal S30 Pro automatically adjusted the amount of water, solution and pressure for each dried-on food.

The self-cleaning function worked well, slicing through the cat and human hair picked up by the roller, and sanitizing the vacuum for its next use. No smelly mops here, thank you very much! The dust catch and water reservoir are easy to access, remove, fill, and dump, and don’t detract from the sleek, classy look of the S30 Pro. We liked how you can use the S30 vacuums with one hand, including adjusting the settings with your thumb while vacuuming.
The quiet mode isn’t silent, but it is noticeably quieter than when the unit operates at full capacity. We didn’t try using it around any sleeping infants, toddlers, or shift workers, but we were able to clean without complaints from the work-from-home folks who left the office door open while taking phone calls.
Verdict
The Narwal S30 Pro is an incredible, versatile wet-dry vacuum that looks as good as it cleans. The heated self-cleaning station, the hair-cutting mechanism, the edge-focused roller design, and the fresh-water mop system make it more sophisticated than many competitors in its price bracket. The Narwal S30 and S30 Pro are perfect for households with hard floors that suffer from daily spills, dust, and shedding hair, and for people who value an effective, low-maintenance mop system that delivers real convenience and strong cleaning with a touch of high-class design.
