Amazon updated its Fire 7 and Kids tablets, both of which received upgraded processors and new colors.
The new Fire 7 features a 7-inch IPS display, quad-core 1.3GHz processor, 16GB of internal storage, built-in Alexa and a $49.99 price tag. Up to 512GB of additional storage can be added via MicroSD card.
Other details include front- and rear-facing cameras, Amazon FreeTime parental controls, screen-sharing tech support and a seven-hour battery life.

Four colors are offered: black, Sage, Plum and Twilight Blue. Shipping starts June 6.
The Fire 7 Kids Edition, meanwhile, has a new durable case with an adjustable stand and an upgraded quad-core 1.3GHz processor. It’s currently shipping in blue, pink and purple for $99.99.
As with the previous Kids version, it comes with a year of Amazon FreeTime Unlimited and a two-year guarantee to replace the tablet if it’s broken.
