
Acer has begun shipping its C202i, a portable projector measuring about the size of a passport and geared toward frequent travelers.
At 5.9 by 5.9 by 1.3 inches, the DLP LED C202i weighs just 12.34 ounces. Features include the ability to project up to a 70-inch image from 6.5 feet, a built-in lithium-ion rechargeable battery with up to five hours of use, HDMI input, 2-watt speaker, 300 lumens of brightness and a 5,000:1 contrast ratio. It can project in native FWVGA 854 by 480 resolution or at the maximum UXGA 1,600 by 1,200 resolution.
The C202i has horizontal and vertical keystone correction up to +/- 20 degrees. Lifespan is up to 20,000 hours in standard mode (30,000 in Eco), according to Acer.
Suggested retail is $299. A remote control, cover and tripod are included.
