OpenRock has launched its latest model of open-ear earbuds, the OpenRock S2 Lightweight Open-Ear True Wireless Sports Earbuds, designed specifically for outdoor enthusiasts and active lifestyles. Weighing 7 grams per earbud, the S2 features an Ultra-Light Hook-Clip Design engineered for a secure and lightweight fit. The hybrid ear-hook and clip-on design ensures all-day wear stability, and is designed to remain in place during strenuous activity.
The S2 features OpenRock’s proprietary BassDirect Technology, channelling low-frequency energy directly into the ear canal through a precision-engineered acoustic cavity. This unique design not only delivers deep, resonant bass with minimal sound leakage but also supports LDAC high-resolution audio and Hi-Res certification. A 12mm dynamic driver powered up to 30mW and OpenRock’s LISO 2.0 algorithm ensures the sound remains rich and balanced across the frequency spectrum.
Engineered for the outdoors, the S2 offers Advanced and Enduring Sweat Defense. An IPX5 waterproof rating, reinforced by a hydrophobic nano-coating, makes the S2 a rugged companion for workouts in any weather, while silicone physical button controls add another layer of reliability.

Unique among earbuds in its category, the S2 incorporates Effortless Photography via Remote Camera Control, allowing users to snap photos or record video with a four-button tap. The S2 provides up to 32 hours of total playtime—8 hours from the earbuds and an additional 24 from the charging case—plus a quick-charge function providing 1 hour of playback in just 5 minutes.
Additional features include 4-Mic AI Noise Cancellation for clear voice pickup even in windy environments, Professional Sports Audio Modes customizable via the companion app, hearing health safeguards such as volume limiters and usage reminders, and Bluetooth 5.4 with multipoint connection support.
The OpenRock S2 is available in Moonlight White and Obsidian Black on the OpenRock website and Amazon at a price of $98.99.
