Cleer Launches ARC 5 Gaming Open-Ear Earbuds

ARC 5 Gaming combines THX Spatial Audio, sub-30ms latency and an open-ear design

Cleer Audio has introduced the ARC 5 Gaming True Wireless Open-Ear Earbuds, which the company describes as the first open-ear true wireless gaming earbuds with THX Spatial Audio with Head Tracking.

The earbuds use Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound and include a USB-C Ultra Low Latency dongle designed to deliver sub-30ms latency. The dongle offers High Definition and Low Latency modes and is compatible with handheld devices, mobile devices, consoles and PCs.

“Gaming earbuds have always asked players to trade comfort and awareness for immersion,” said Hideaki Yamaguchi (Yama), CEO of Cleer Audio. “The ARC 5 Gaming ends that trade. With THX Certified sound quality, THX Spatial Audio with Head Tracking, and sub-30ms latency, players give up nothing in sound or speed — and gain the all-session comfort and situational awareness only a true open-ear design can deliver, wherever they play.”

The ARC 5 Gaming uses an open-ear design that rests over the ear rather than entering or sealing the ear canal. Cleer said the design is intended to reduce pressure, heat buildup and ear fatigue while allowing users to remain aware of sounds around them.

THX Spatial Audio with Head Tracking adjusts audio positioning based on head movement. The earbuds are also THX Certified for frequency response and low distortion.

The ARC 5 Gaming supports SBC, AAC, aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, LC3 and LDAC codecs. Cleer also includes its DBE 4.0 Dynamic Bass Enhancement and a Gaming EQ preset that can be customized through the Cleer+ app.

For voice communication, the earbuds feature dual ENC noise-reduction microphones designed to reduce background noise during gaming chat, streaming and calls.

The accompanying Smart Case features an AMOLED HD touchscreen for playback controls, EQ selection and battery monitoring. It also includes UV-C sterilization.

Battery life is rated at up to 60 hours in total. The earbuds charge via USB-C, with a five-minute quick charge providing up to two hours of playtime. The ARC 5 Gaming also has Bluetooth 5.4 multipoint connectivity for switching between two connected devices and carries an IPX7 waterproof rating.

The ARC 5 Gaming will be available in black beginning September 2026 for $229.99. It will be sold through CleerAudio.com, Amazon.com and authorized U.S. dealers.
