The Karat Petals iPhone cases from Case-Mate featured real dried flowers embedded in scratch-resistant TPU, making each case unique. Three colors are offered — purple, pink and Antique White — each for $60.
Otterbox will once again engineer its signature Defender case to protect the newest iPhones. The case will come in six colors for the iPhone X: Black, Marathoner (gray with blue), Stormy Peaks (black with gray), Purple Nebula (plum with pink), Big Sur (teal with gray) and Coral Dot (pink with polka dots and coral). All will be $49.95 when they become available on Oct. 27, minus for the Coral Dot, which will be $59.95.
Mophie’s wireless charging base can charge the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X, as well as other Qi-compatible devices. Features include a rubberized finish and wireless charging up to 7.5 watts. It will be available on Sept. 20 for $59.95.
Speck’s Presidio Metallic case will come in five colors with a shimmering metallic finish that the company claims won’t scratch or fade. It’s been drop tested to 10 feet. Pricing for iPhone 8 and X will be $44.95, while 8 Plus will be $49.95.
Belkin’s BoostUp wireless charging pad provides wireless charging up to 7.5 watts for Qi-compatible devices. It’s able to charge devices through cases that are 3mm thick, said the company, and will carry a $59.99 suggested retail when it becomes available on Sept. 15.
Caseology’s Apex cases features a dual-layer construction with a raised front lip and camera bezel. They will come in four colors (Burgundy, Ocean Gray, Aqua Green and Pine Green) for $14.99 and black for $13.99 when they ship Sept. 20.
Catalyst’s waterproof case for the iPhone X is rated IP68 for protection up to 33 feet underwater. It’s also drop-tested to 6.6 feet, features a special rotating mute toggle, and has an enlarged opening for the Lightning port. It will ship in January for $89.99.
Urban Armor Gear’s Monarch cases feature five-layer impact-resistant designs with honeycomb traction grips. They come in five colors for $59.95 each.
Scosche’s MagicMount Charge (model MPQHC) can charge the new iPhones in both the home and the car. It features a suction base, adjustable head, and the company’s proprietary MagicPlate mounting system. It will come with both a 5-foot AC adapter and a 3-foot 12-volt adapter when it ships in October. Pricing wasn’t available at press time.
The vCommute from Vena features hidden card slots for IDs and credit cards, dual-layer polycarbonate and TPU design, and drop-testing protection to 4 feet. A foldable leather cover on the back of the case doubles as a magnetic-lock kickstand. It will come in four colors when it ships in early October for $39.99.
