Irvine, Calif. — Ultimate Ears, a product unit of Logitech, announced this morning it has added to its line of earphones.
According to the company, the Super.Fi 5 and Super.Fi 5vi earphones are the first products on the market with a top-fire-armature speaker design. This design reportedly enables the earphones to be cased in a smaller, more ergonomic form, while still delivering a premium sound signature. The top-fire design employs a single, wideband driver to create an “exceptionally accurate sound tuned for a wide range of musical genres,” said Ultimate Ears.
The frequency response range is listed as 15Hz to 15kHz, and a top sound pressure level is 115 dB.
The Super.Fi 5 and Super.Fi 5vi a high-performance microphone for hands-free phone calls both feature machined liquid-silver plastic housing, three interchangeable soft-silicone ear tips and two Comply foam ear tips. Users also have the ability to wear the earphone cable over their ears. The Super.Fi 5vi comes with a high-performance microphone for hands-free phone calls.
Suggested retail is $169 for the Super.Fi 5 and $189 for the Super.Fi 5vi. They are both currently available.
