Target.com Holding ‘Black Friday’ Sale

Minneapolis – Target.com will hold a
“Back in Black Friday” sale beginning tonight at midnight.

The online-only promotion will offer
“Black Friday-worthy savings” of up to 50-percent off on more than 1,500 popular
items across all product categories, the retailer said.

CE specials will include:

·
an Xbox 360 bundle with 4GB console and two
wireless controllers for $200 (20 percent off);

·
Olympus’ FE-47/X43 14MP digital camera with 5x
optical zoom for $70 (36 percent off);

·
Kodak’s EasyShare M52 14MP digital camera with
5x optical zoom for $90 (40 percent off), and;

·
Digital Décor’s 7-inch LCD slim digital photo
frame for $30 (50 percent off).

“Target is always looking at ways to
provide our guests with outstanding value,” said Steve Eastman, president,
Target.com. “Our Back in Black Friday online-only sale is a great example –
offering our guests a summer Black Friday with thousands of deals on their
favorite products.”

Target is using the overnight
promotion to help goose summer sales. The season is traditionally slow for merchants,
although many CE and appliance retailers have described business conditions this
summer as the worst in memory.

 Midnight web sales have also been employed by
BestBuy.com, which held its fourth monthly event last night.

 Target’s sale will run through 11:59 p.m.
Friday night at
