Atlanta – Sony Ericsson is out to
expand sales of its unlocked cellphones in the U.S. with a distribution
agreement with Ingram Micro.
Sony Ericsson’s unlocked phones
are also available through D&H and regional distributors, the company said.
Ingram will target online and
brick-and-mortar retailers as well as enterprises and value-added resellers
when it begins to offer products, including Xperia smartphones, later this
month. Ingram also offers activation services.
In the past, Sony Ericsson
unlocked phones have been available in such retail outlets as Newegg.com,
Buy.com and Amazon.com as well as through Sony retail stores and
