Detroit – FAVI Entertainment is now shipping its “SmartStick HDTV enhancer” that plugs into the HDMI port on a TV to offer a range of smart TV functions.

The small plug-and-play device carries a $50 suggested retail price and uses an Android OS to present a host of multimedia stream services and web browsing.

FAVI is also providing a $40 optional wireless keyboard accessory to better navigate the service.

Among the “dozens of apps” available on the SmartStick are Netflix, HBO Go or EPIX, music streaming via Pandora or Spotify, video streaming via You Tube, and popular social media sites including Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter.

The SmartStick includes a full Internet browser and 4GB of built-in memory.

An included Plex app enables wireless delivery of videos, documents, music, images, and movies to the SmartStick.

The device is compatible with any HDTV, requires no subscription fee, and offers access to thousands of apps via GooglePlay.

The SmartStick is available now online from favientertainment.com, and ecommerce partners: Newegg, Amazon, Walmart.com, Tiger Direct and Gamestop.com.
