Sherbourn Readies Control4 Components

Franklin, Tenn. –

Sherbourn Technologies

plans late-March shipments of a pair of audio components incorporating Control4
controller to control home systems and multi-room-audio systems.

The PMC-2 7.1-channel preamp/processor and the PMR-7125
7.1-channel A/V receiver will ship in late March at prices that weren’t
announced. They will be joined by a 7-350 multichannel amplifier, which lacks
Control4 brain.

The PMC-2preamp/processor features dual-core DSP processors
to handle HD audio codecs, Ethernet control, HDMI 1.3a capability with 3D
support, balanced inputs and outputs on all channels, a full-color onscreen
display with transparency over live video, Genesis/Torino video-scaling engine,
and available drivers for iPad and iPhone integration to play music stored on
the devices through the components as well as control the components from the
devices’ user interfaces.

The PMR-7125 AVR features 7×125-watt high-current amp and
offers similar features, including dual-core DSP processor, HDMI 1.3a
compatibility with 3D support, Ethernet control port and available iPhone/iPad
drivers.

The 7-350 multichannel amplifier is rated at 7×350 watts
into 8 ohms via high-efficiency Class H design. It uses convection cooling
without the use of a fan to further add to efficiency.

The products will be the brand’s first components with
Control4 controllers.

The brand was

bought last month

by Jade Design, the ODM/OEM developer of home
and professional audio products. Jade also owns direct-to-consumer audio
supplier Emotiva Audio.
