Sensio Hi-Fi 3D Added To Marvell SoCs

Montreal –

Sensio Technologies

said Wednesday that Marvell Technology Group has developed an HD media system
on a chip (SoC) family including Sensio’s high-fidelity 3D technology.

“OEMs in the consumer electronics market understand the value
that

Sensio
Hi-Fi 3D

brings to 3D-capable products,” stated Marvell Semiconductor DTV
products senior director Atul Batra. “Our new chipset incorporates Sensio
technology in response to a growing demand from OEMs who, we believe, will
enjoy even greater flexibility in developing high-end 3D systems for the home
viewing environment.”

Sensio Hi-Fi 3D is called “a unique frame-compatible technology
for high-fidelity stereoscopic signal processing” in display products.

The technology has been refined and is said to be a proven
pioneer for content creation and commercializing live 3D events in cinemas
around the world, as well as for high-profile console games and DVD movies.

Marvell

ships more than
one billion chips a year, and the incorporation of Sensio Hi-Fi 3D into
Marvell’s 3D-capable chipsets will significantly extend the presence of Sensio
technology in consumer electronics designed for the digital 3D home,” said
Nicholas Routhier, Sensio president and CEO. “We’re committed to supporting our
partners in bringing quality 3D solutions to market, and we’re very proud to be
working with Marvell as it provides consumer electronics OEMs high-performance
chips with the flexibility to offer end users the best possible 3D viewing
experience.”
