Premium Audio Company (PAC), an innovative provider of premium audio solutions, has released several firmware updates for its AV Receivers and Hi-Fi Stereo Receivers which improve audio playback, functionality and room correction experience on select Onkyo, Integra, Elite and Pioneer models.

PAC brands are committed to continuously monitoring, challenging and improving their products to ensure the best user experience. The result makes the entertainment investment of its customers even better with constant updates that improve the performance of the equipment they already own.

For the following models, new firmware enhancements will be available on October 28th and November 18th, 2024:

  Dolby Atmos Music uses ground-breaking Dolby Atmos^® technology to elevate audio experiences beyond the realm of movies and TV, allowing music creators to produce and mix music with spatial audio elements for a more immersive experience. With this new firmware update, these AVRs now play Dolby Atmos content via Amazon Music HD and Tidal Native Playback.

  Source-Based Tone Mapping (SBTM) allows a portion of the HDR mapping to be performed by the source device, not the display device, automatically producing an optimized HDR signal to maximize processing and display capabilities without manual user configuration.

  Reduced the rate at which measurement errors appear in Onkyo/Integra/Pioneer Application. This contributes to a smooth completion of the measurement.

This firmware update will be indicated via on-screen display and front panel display for Onkyo, Elite, and Pioneer models connected to the internet. For non-connected devices, software can be downloaded from the website and uploaded via USB drive. The firmware update will be available on the Integra AVR by navigating to the “Setup Firmware Menu” and following the on-screen prompts.
