Seiki Unveils Retro-Look FullHD TV

Diamond Bar, Calif. — Seiki Digital introduced Monday a new Retro Design FullHD LCD TV, targeting secondary room placements such as playrooms, college dorms or kitchens.

The 22-inch Retro Design HDTV (SE22FR01) carries a $329 suggested retail and is billed as “a new colorful nostalgic HDTV model.” It eventually will be available in multiple retro colors, including Retro Red, Mid-century Yellow, Electric Blue, Doo-wop Purple and Cadillac Pink.

The Seiki HDTV is equipped with throwback power and volume dials, but includes all the modern features of today’s HDTVs, including FullHD 1080p resolution on a 21.5-inch diagonal LED panel, 60Hz panel refresh rate, HDMI, component/composite inputs, VGA ports and a remote control.

The set also includes a built-in subwoofer for expanded sound capability.

“We affectionately call the Seiki Retro Design HDTV the showstopper because of the amount of attention it has already garnered at tradeshows and retail events,” said Frank Kendzora, Tongfang Global’s Seiki Digital brand executive VP. “The Retro Design HDTV stands alone in the TV market today with its brilliant design. It’s a departure from other TVs on the market, but reflects Seiki brand statement of simply brilliant and promise of delivering straightforward technology that makes lives less complicated.”

The Retro Red version for the Retro Design HDTV will be the first to ship through select national retailers including Amazon.com and Fred Meyer stores, among other retailers.

All sets include Seiki’s “one-year, no-nonsense, replacement warranty.”
