Atlanta — CE distributor SED International has kicked off SED Goes Green, a campaign focused on improving the environment and reducing power consumption.
“We felt it was beneficial to formalize a program around our green initiatives,” said Jonathan Elster, executive VP of SED International. “This adds focus to something that is very important to us. There are also some great things our vendor partners are doing that we want to recognize with more exposure.”
The campaign includes initiatives in four categories:
· Office — related to improvements, such as increased recycling and the implementation of high-efficiency lighting, made in and around SED locations;
· Shipping — the use of “environmentally friendly” packaging products;
· Printing — the use of Forest Stewardship Council-certified recycled paper when printing marketing materials; and
Products — highlighting products and manufacturers that feature green technologies.
