Samsung’s Four Seasons of Hope Donates $257,000 To Charities

New York – Samsung’s Four Seasons of Hope donated a total of $257,000 to Joe Torre’s Safe At Home Foundation, dedicated to stop domestic violence, and Boomer Esiason’s foundation of the same name, which fights cystic fibrosis.

During an event at the Samsung Experience in the Time Warner Building, here, Wednesday evening, Torre, the new L.A. Dodger manager, received a check for $107,000 from Samsung senior VP/chief strategic marketing officer Steven Cook and Tim Baxter, executive VP of sales and marketing for the CE division. The check represents a $1,000 donation per home run hit at home by Torre’s old team, the N.Y. Yankees, during the regular season. Esiason received a check for his foundation of $150,000 which came from a portion of sales from select Samsung products at Sears stores this year. Samsung’s Four Seasons of Hope and its major national retailers – Best Buy, Circuit City, CompUSA and Sears – has donated $2.5 million this year and more than $10 million to participating charities since it began six years ago.
