Hauppauge, N.Y. - Samson Technologies announced its Q2U recording pack with HP20 headphones is now available.
The Q2U is billed by the company as a
high-quality microphone that can meet all live sound and digital audio
recording needs. It has both an XLR output and a USB I/O, allowing it to be
plugged directly into a live sound console or any computer with a USB input.
The microphone's on/off switch controls the XLR output, so users can perform live and record to a nearby computer at the same time. A spokesman for Samson called it the "only mic you'll ever need."
Other features include a built-in 3.5mm stereo headphone jack output with volume control for no-latency monitoring during recording, a cardioid pickup pattern, and a high-quality A/D converter with a 16-bit, 48kHz sampling rate.
The pack comes with USB and XLR cables, a microphone clip, desktop stand, HP20 headphones and Cakewalk Music Creator.
Suggested retail is $89.
