Ryan Campaigns At Crutchfield HQ

Charlottesville, Va. – Representative Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.), the Republican Vice Presidential candidate, held a rally at the Crutchfield’s headquarters parking lot, here, on Thursday evening.

More than 1,000 people attended the rally, and according to published reports Ryan thanked William Crutchfield, CEO of Crutchfield, for hosting the event and mentioned the importance of entrepreneurship in the economy.

“What a great American success story [Crutchfield is]. Here’s a guy who 38 years ago took $1,000 and built a business in his mother’s basement,” Ryan said.

Rick Souder, Crutchfield’s merchandising executive VP, told TWICE, “The campaign team [worked] for two days to set up bleachers, sound systems, lighting, security, press platforms, etc. It has been interesting for our associates to see how an event like this comes together. We have all been encouraged to enjoy the honor and to see democracy in action regardless of our individual political allegiances.”
