Peripheral Electronics Bows iPod Connector Cable For Alpine Radios

Clearwater, Fla. — Peripheral Electronics, a division of AAMP of America, has introduced its PHSC high-speed iPod interface cable designed to work with select Alpine radios. The product, shipping now, is said to offer a high-speed connection, full iPod control capabilities via radio controls and digital-quality sound for Alpine’s “Full Speed” radios from 2006 and beyond.

The cable is compatible with the nano, Photo, and third-, fourth- and fifth-generation iPods and comes with an iPod dock connector and DIN plug. According to a release, the cable is currently compatible with Alpine’s CDE-9852, CDA-9856, CDA-9857, DVA-9861, IVA-D100 and IVA-W200 models.

The cable charges the iPod battery while in use, and its QuickSearch feature allows users to search their music according to artist, genre, album or playlist with the data appearing on the head unit.

Peripheral said it has plans to soon offer similar cables designed to work with Kenwood and Pioneer radios.
