Parrot Unveils Universal Hands-Free Smartphone Kit

Las Vegas – Parrot
introduced at the SEMA Show what it’s calling the first Bluetooth hands-free
and multifunction kit adapted to all models and compatible with all operating
systems.

SEMA is being held here
this week at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The Parrot MiniKit
Smart, which will be available this month for $129, has a docking bay that can
be used with any smartphone measuring from 56mm to 70mm wide. The Bluetooth
connection transmits calls and GPS directions via an integrated 2-watt speaker,
and installation is done with a swiveling suction cup and a magnet for the
docking bay.

A retractable microphone
is included. According to Parrot, the MiniKit Smart has one-week autonomy on
standby and 10 hours of talktime.

The kit can be recharged
with the car’s DC power outlet, and it also charges the smartphones while in
use. Other features include the ability to store multiple phone books and voice
recognition.
