Paramount 3D Movies Headed For 3DGo

Montreal — 3D tech developer Sensio Technologies said Monday that it has signed a 3D video-on-demand (VOD) licensing agreement with Paramount Pictures to make select 3D movies available for on-demand rental on its 3DGo service.

Select 3D Paramount movies will be available across the U.S. starting in April on Sensio-enabled devices.

3DGo is a dedicated 3D transactional VOD service that delivers a large selection of high-quality 3D content, including Hollywood blockbusters, documentaries and alternative content to consumers whose 3DTVs support the Sensio Hi-Fi 3D technology.

Paramount 3D titles coming soon to the on-demand rental service include “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” DreamWorks Animation’s “Kung Fu Panda 2,” “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never,” “Top Gun” and “Hugo.”

“Paramount’s diverse lineup of hit films, including some of DreamWorks Animation’s top family movies, demonstrates Sensio’s commitment to delivering the best premium 3D content to our customers,” said Nicholas Routhier, Sensio president and CEO “We are very excited to have these titles appear on 3DGo and to give our customers access to the best library of 3D content available on VOD.”

Sensio recently announced a similar licensing agreement with Walt Disney Studios.
