City of Industry, Calif. – Newegg.com has appointed Kunal Thakkar
operations VP to help prepare the CE and IT e-tailer for future growth.
In his new role, Thakkar will be responsible for overseeing all
logistics and transportation functions, including managing the company’s
warehouse operations and transportation service providers.

record of building strong operational platforms for growing businesses,” said
Bob Bellack, CEO of Newegg North America. “As we continue to experience solid
growth and expand our presence, Kunal’s leadership and expertise will be
crucial to helping us scale our operations.”
Thakkar will have to meet or exceed an already high
bar at Newegg. The company’s three national distribution facilities are models
of logistical efficiency, with 99.8 percent of orders received by 2:30 p.m.
picked, packed and out the door the same day, resulting in two-day delivery for
90 percent of orders.
“Newegg is already known
for its fast delivery of products, cutting-edge logistics and outstanding
customer service,” Thakkar acknowledged. “I am pleased to join the company, and
look forward to implementing operational best practices and improving Newegg’s
logistical and transportation requirements.”
He joins Newegg from a fashion apparel wholesaler where, as VP
global operations and business strategy, he designed and implemented a fully
automated distribution center, helped double the company’s sales, and improved
its profits. He also served as a supply-chain management consultant at UPS
Professional Services, where he helped streamline operational processes and
improve efficiencies for Fortune 500 companies.
