McCready, Former Marantz President, Dies At 68

John McCready, who served as president of Marantz America from 1996 until 2005, died last week in Chicago. Mc- Cready’s technology career included positions at Linksys, Paradigm Electronics, Anthem and Harman Consumer Group.

His passion and talent for the design of A/V products, painting and photography filled his spare time, and he truly enjoyed his career, his friends and family, said spokeswoman Roberta Lewis.

McCready is survived by his wife, Molly Gibson; two daughters, Megan Bowermaster and Erin McCready; and three beloved grandchildren: James, Nolan and Bryn Bowermaster.

A private memorial gathering in Denver with family and friends will be announced at a later date.
