Odenton, Md. –
M-Edge Accessories launched a website that lets consumers design and personalize
protective jackets for the Nook, Kindle and iPad.
The site, known as
MyEdge, has a Style Library that features artwork exclusively commissioned from
such artists as Amy Ruppel and Christopher Bettig. It also contains cover
artwork from past issues of The New Yorker; NCAA-licensed logos; and a variety
of book cover artwork, including “Moby Dick,” “Catch 22,” “Slaughterhouse 5”
and “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.”
Consumers can
choose from a black or mocha microfiber leather spine and stitching accents for
the jacket. Once the jacket is approved and finalized, the design is printed on
canvas using eco-friendly water-based inks, M-Edge said, and each jacket is
coated with Scotchgard protection.
Covers for the
Kindle and Nook will be $40, while iPad covers will be $50. It takes
approximately two weeks for consumers to receive their jackets.
