Fremont, Calif. — Lexar hopes to jump-start sales of its new flagship USB drive, the JumpDrive Lightning, by offering a free engraving service to customers.
The stainless-steel drive is the company’s flagship in the hot-selling USB flash drive category, offering write-speeds up to 18MBps and read speeds of up to 24MBps. It is available in 512MB, 1GB and 2GB capacities.
Lexar is offering the engraving service to customers purchasing the drive on its Web site.
Lightning is bundled with software to synchronize files between a PC and the drive and offers both password-protected and public storage areas on the drive.
