Sharon, Mass. –
hired its fourth
regional sales manager, each
responsible for sales of the NAD, PSB and Tivoli brands.
Dan Coons has been appointed to the
position of southern regional sales manager. He will be based in Orlando and
will direct the company’s sales efforts in Florida, the Southeast and the
Southwest.
He joins western regional sales manager
Bart Greenberg, central region sales manager Dave Cusick and eastern regional
sales manager Jim Price.
On June 1, Lenbrook dropped all but two
independent rep firms as part of a controversial plan to begin selling its NAD
and PSB home audio brands direct to retailers for the first time after having
sold exclusively through independent reps since the company’s founding 20 years
ago. Lenbrook also went direct in selling the Tivoli Audio brand, whose
marketing functions continue to remain in the hands of manufacturer Tivoli
Audio.
The plan was put in place by Dean
Miller, the audio-industry veteran appointed by parent company The Lenbrook
Group earlier this year.
The company’s
original plan was to start with three regional manager and add a fourth later,
a spokesman said, but the company decided to hire the fourth person sooner rather
than later because of Coons’ credentials.
