Las Vegas – Kicker is
unveiling its IX1000.5 five-channel car amplifier with Class D subwoofer channel
and its SubStation series of powered subwoofer enclosures during CES at booth
13020.
The compact Class D amp is
stackable, with the company’s IXSM and IXSK stacking hardware sold separately. A
remote bass control is included. The amp also offers FIT Fail-Safe Integration
Technology to reject electrical interference for noise-free operation.
The SubStation powered
subwoofer enclosures are billed as premium sealed, self-contained active
subwoofer systems using a modified 10-inch Kicker Solo Classic subwoofer or a 12-inch
CompVR subwoofer. Both drivers are driven by a digital amp.
Features include Velcro-fastened
straps and quick-connect wire harness, along with adjustable gain, crossover, 0-
to 180-degree phase reversal and bass boost.
