Iogear Fundraises For Komen For The Cure

Foothill Ranch, Calif. –
Iogear has set up a one-year fundraising initiative benefiting Susan G. Komen
for the Cure effort.

Iogear said it will
donate $1.00 for every specially marked SD/MicroSD/MMC card reader/writer sold
between Sept. 1, 2011, and Aug. 31, 2012, with a minimum guaranteed donation of
$25,000.

The card readers feature
a pink finish with the Komen “Running Ribbon” prominently displayed. The
company said it chose the product because “the price is low enough for almost
anyone to show support, and because so many devices rely on memory cards, it
has instant mass appeal.”

“Iogear is honored to
partner with Susan G. Komen for the Cure,” said James Hsieh, CEO of Iogear, in
a statement. “There are so many incredible causes, and choosing our first major
corporate fundraising partner was tough, but it’s important that our support
makes a difference. The organization’s research and initiatives create
important awareness about breast cancer while the services provide immeasurable
help to those affected. We’re proud to be part of the Komen family.”
