D&H Shaking Things Up At 2019 Tech Conference

Listening to attendee feedback, the distributor has made some changes

D&H Distributing’s annual Tech Conference roadshow will make its first pit stop of the year in City of Industry, Calif., on March 28 with some new features in tow.

Held at the Pacific Palms Resort, the one-day event will feature some 60 exhibitors; a full-day roster of educational sessions; and, for the first time, a keynote speaker: Todd Garrigues, Intel’s director of partner sales programs.

Garrigues will discuss the evolving tech channel and how to develop strategic and sustainable offerings, while NPD Group analyst Mike Diamond will also be on hand to discuss the state of the IT channel and to share insights on cyber security. Other seminars, presented by Intel, Cisco, Aruba, Microsoft and HP, will cover such topics as Cloud solutions for small-to-medium businesses (SMBs); cyber security; and the Windows 7 end-of-service/device refresh cycle.

To accommodate the addition of a keynote address, the show floor will open during separate morning and afternoon sessions (10:30 a.m. to noon, and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.). Exhibitors will include Acer, Brother, Iogear, Kingston, Lenovo, Micron and Ricoh, as well as newcomers Ubiquiti Networks, Fanvil, Yeastar and Vertiv. Door prizes will include five American Express gift cards of $300 each and a grand prize card of $500.

This year’s conference will feature a major focus on the pro A/V category, following the creation of a new D&H business unit to tap into the burgeoning category. To that end, large digital displays will be placed at the registration desks to demonstrate how messaging techniques can be applied in markets ranging from retail, real estate and hospitality to transportation, government and healthcare. There will also be a closed-door pro A/V roundtable with early-adapting D&H customers who will share how pro A/V technology lends itself to videoconferencing, collaboration, unified communications and other related services.

“The events continue to grow in scope and content, reaching a greater breadth of D&H partners,” said D&H marketing VP Jennifer Walcott. Based on attendee feedback, D&H will continue to focus on first-hand trainings, an enhanced seminar format and more specialized customer engagement opportunities, she said.

“The more accessible we make it for them to take in this level of market insight, the more we all benefit as they leverage this new knowledge to grow their practices,” Walcott added.

Registration is complimentary for D&H customers. For more information, call (800) 340-1007 or visit DandH.com/westcoast.
