Huppin’s Named As SVS’s 1st Retail Partner

Girard, Ohio — SVS, the high-performance home audio products provider, has selected Huppin’s as its company’s first brick-and-mortar storefront dealer, with plans to sell direct online through its OneCall operation

SVS said Huppin’s/OneCall are “uniquely positioned with complementary products, burgeoning retail and online sales, and a customer first mentality, making them an ideal fit” for the company.

With the agreement, SVS brings its line of subwoofer, speaker and audio products to the greater Spokane, Wash., retail market as well as to OneCall’s online shoppers.

SVS audio products have only been sold Internet-direct in the U.S., without the benefit of in-store demonstrations, yet has leveraged “unmatched price/performance value and word-of-mouth awareness to increase market share” in the 18 months since Gary Yacoubian, president, CEO and managing partner, assumed his role, the company said.

Huppin’s/OneCall, a member of the Progressive Retailers Organization (PRO Group), will also be a partner in the launch of the new SB13-Ultra high-performance subwoofer, which begins shipping at the end of September but can be pre-ordered now. “The SB13-Ultra subwoofer brings SVS’s lauded Ultra performance to a form factor that works in almost any room, and much like the Huppin’s partnership, will open our technology to a much wider audience,” said Yacoubian.

Huppin’s/OneCall president Murray Huppin said, “SVS’s approach to business is consistent with the ideals we’ve had at Huppin’s for over 100 years, and they will be a valuable, sought-after addition to our product line.
