Taoyuan, Taiwan – Smartphone
maker HTC boosted sales by 104 percent in the second quarter to NT$124.4
billion ($4.32 billion).
That performance
follows a first-quarter sales gain of 175 percent to NT$104.2 billion .
Unaudited second-quarter operating income was NT$19.2 billion ($667.9 million).
Net income before tax was NT$20 billion ($693.1 million), and net income after
tax was NT$17.5 billion ($608 million).
U.S. dollar amounts are based on a currency conversion rate of $1 to NT$28.8.
In
the first quarter, operating income rose 192 percent, and net income after
taxes rose 197 percent.
