GM Puts XM NavTraffic on 22 Models

Dallas — As real-time traffic is expands in the portable GPS market, XM Satellite Radio is expanding its service.

XM announced yesterday at the Dallas Auto Show it will expand its NavTraffic real-time traffic service to a total of 22 General Motors models.

Already available on the Cadillac CTS, NavTraffic will be added to vehicles including the Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Sierra, Buick Enclave, Saturn Vue and Hummer H2 in the 2009 model year.

XM NavTraffic delivers traffic-incident reports that appear on a user’s navigation screen in the form of color coded updates on his route path.

The service is available from other vehicle makers including Nissan, Infiniti, Acura, Lexus and Hyundai.
