Irvine, Calif. — Gateway revamped two of its notebook lines today to make them more appealing to customers looking to personalize their computer through color and design.
The M- and T-series notebook lines will be available in a total of five colors. The M-series, already available in garnet red and Pacific blue, is adding silver and the new arctic bloom. This last design features a wildflower pattern on an icy turquoise blue background, the company said.
Only one model in the T-series is included, the 6313, for now. It will be offered in silver, arctic bloom and graphite.
Gateway uses a technology called InFuse to inject the color and design into the notebooks casing.
The M-series is centered on a 15.4-inch widescreen display, while the T-series uses a 14.1-inch widescreen LCD.
The M-series range in price from $800 to $1,400 depending upon configuration, with the top end model being powered by Intel Centrino Mobile Technology and Intel Core 2 Duo T8300, 2GB of memory and a 120GB hard drive. The T6313 has an Intel Pentium Dual Core mobile processor T2330, 250GB hard drive and a multiformat, dual-layer DVD-R/RW with DVD-RAM for $729.
