Valhalla, N.Y. — Fujifilm added two new digital cameras to its F-series lineup today with the announcement of the FinePix F440 and F450.
Both compact cameras feature an all-metal housing, a 2-inch LCD screen and PictBridge compatibility.
They will ship with the Picture Cradle USB dock for image transfers, battery recharging or for using the cameras as Web cams. The F40/450 can capture QVGA movie clips at 10 frames per second with sound to an xD-Picture Card. A 16MB xD card is included with both cameras.
Shipping in August for a suggested $399.99, the 4.1-megapixel F440 sports a 3.4x optical/3.6x digital zoom. The 5.2-megapixel F450 will ship in October for a suggested $499.99 and features a 3.4x optical/4.1x digital zoom.
