Demorest, Ga. — National distributor DSI Systems has begun supplying Nationwide East dealers with co-mingled orders of furniture, bedding, appliances and CE on a single truck.
Under the Nationwide Direct program, dealers can receive deliveries of mix-and-match products from a wide array of vendors on a weekly or biweekly basis. The “one-order, one-truck” model allows members to control their inventory and maintain a positive cash flow, the buying group chapter said.
“Our members really benefit from the wide assortment of merchandise they can receive on one truck” said Nationwide East VP Dean Hanby. “They’re able to increase their inventory turns and reduce product damage. It’s a win-win for them.”
Brands currently available for mixed-order delivery include Ashley, Klaussner, Sealy, Jofran, Catnapper, Haier (majaps), GlideAway, TwinStar, Enso, LG, Toshiba and Sharp.
Jerry Satoren, DSI Systems’ CE executive VP, said the distributor added major appliances to its mix last year and more recently introduced furniture following a pilot program in Texas.
Nationwide East is a regional division of the $15 billion Nationwide Marketing Group covering the eastern third of the U.S.
